Building brand advocates. We get social to reach our audience. The Gillz performance gear brand is superior to many others, but not many fishermen knew it. The situation was the same for Reel Life, a lifestyle brand, also with limited awareness. We set out to change all that with extensive social media campaigns for both. The goal of our campaigns utilizing Facebook and Instagram were twofold: to generate sales at both brand’s e-commerce websites and build brand awareness. We made some updates and improvements to their existing sites that could be completed quickly. Developing a visual iconography, we incorporated all the latest Facebook and Instagram ad formats, from single image to carousel to slide show to video ads. We also created a PPC campaign that ran on all the media platforms our most likely customers and brand advocates were engaging with. We introduced new styles and colors, the features and benefits, as well as, special offers and sales. We also ran traditional ads in enthusiast magazines as well as reaching our market through email blasts and e-newsletters. Using social media, we were able to provide Gillz and Reel Life with extremely targeted, sustained messaging in a very cost-effective manner, while increasing brand awareness and providing a significant sales lift, while driving traffic to the e-commerce site.
