When Virgin Voyages came to us to design the brand marks and visual iconography for their inaugural cruise ship’s bars and lounges, we knew we had to really tap into our creative juices. If anything, Richard Branson has an unequivocally unique style, that’s envied by many and duplicated by few. The cruise ship, the Scarlet Lady, was going to have great bars, along with some unique beverage choices. Armed with the names of the venues (which changed a couple of times), concept renderings, and psychographic profiles of the target markets, we went to work. Providing the client with dozens of iterations for each venue, colors, icons, and designs slowly began to take shape. In a truly collaborative process with Virgin Voyages, we delivered brandmarks that captured the essence of each venue as envisioned by the team at Virgin Voyages. They raved about the logo mark designs and the great collaborative relationship we developed during the process. Unfortunately, the ship is ready to sail, the world is not, however, as COVID persists. When you eventually get on board, stop by one of these venues, and have a drink on us.
